Cytokines analyzed included IL-17 (A), IFN-γ (B), IL-4 (C), IL-13 (D), TNF-α (E), and IL-1β (F). Data are presented as mean ± SEM (n = 5 per group). *P ≤ 0.01 for comparisons between Day 0 versus Day 14 within a strain. #P ≤ 0.01 for comparisons between strains at a given time point. Data were analyzed by Student’s t tests for differences within and between strains at specific time points.
